Valentines Day.
With Ava’s birthday the day before, Valentines Day usually gets a little forgotten in our house. We do still like to try our best and attempt something sweet just for fun though, plus I’m always looking for an excuse to cook something different and light the candles on the kitchen table. Today’s little creation; chicken breast with mozzarella, asparagus, roasted potatoes with red onion and chorizo, a fresh salad in sweet chilli dressing and a sweet little cupcake each for desert.

Iain arrived home from work with plenty of treats. A card, love heart cookie and Hello Kitty doll for his little girly. A pretty bunch of flowers, chocolates and two DVD’s I’ve been dying to watch - The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Cheerful Weather for the Wedding.

Ava and I surprised him with a delicious dinner and candles all laid out, a card and a big pile of coins he wanted for his collection.
